Smart Can Technology

The Smart Can ™ has 16 sensors to detect the location and forces associated with contact along a conveyor to pinpoint high impact locations. This has lead to tremendous reduction in damaged cans when the locations and causes are identified.
There are different diameter Smart cans from 211, 300, 307 to 401. By simply applying spacers, we are able to increase can heights or accomadate different can heights.

Using shock sensor from Smart Can™, we can help to determine axial loads on each pallet to determine damage capabilities. With increased efforts to 'Light Weight" cans, it is extremely important to understand the downstream impact and not just upfront cost savings.

Sensors are placed in strategic location on each pallet to ensure maximum data capture. We treat the pallets as they would be treated in "real" environment to conclude on severity and long term impact.
These sensors can be placed in transit vehicles for road or rail applications.
